Ivy B. Burnham is currently an Assisted Living Facilities and Adult Day Care Centers Licensing Inspector for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has been employed with the Commonwealth since October 2001.
Mrs. Burnham has a passion for seniors and has served in long term and health care since 1979 where her journey started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her journey has afforded her the opportunity to serve in the following positions: Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, Staff Development Coordinator, Director of Residential Care, Administrator, Senior Administrator, Assistant Project Director of Virginia's first PACE Program, Elder Care Coordinator and Patient Access Director.
She is an active member of the New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake where she serves as Associate Minister, Spiritual Advisor to the Women's and Nurses Ministries and Youth Director.
Ivy is the wife of Bernard J. Burnham, Sr., the mother of 3 adult children and grandmother of 2.
